A review of the sport of wrestling

Aiming to put British wrestling back on the global map, this return featured four bouts during an hour of rope-bouncing, body-slamming, sweat-flying mayhem. The opinions published are solely those of the respective reviewers and may not reflect the opinions of CriticalBlast.

The production is top of the line. Everything feels like it has a lot more meaning. Octane levels were cranked up with moody slo-mo, close-ups of snarling faces and pumping music. Rounding out the night, we got a tag match as part of a tag title tournament. And more with Rampage! I did have one small complaint. The audience, naturally, lapped it up like Kool-Aid. Banks come out for a championship celebration. The commentators did an excellent job talking about his history, including that he had a match against Stu Bennett years ago. Gabirel Kidd's opportunity is revealed, but it is teased that it might be something awful my money is on Crater. And each match tonight was something vestly different.

Professional wrestling

Only the best, the brightest and most dedicated professional athletes get on this platform. The live audience bayed for blood and waved giant foam fingers, although there was a disappointing lack of enraged grannies marching down to ringside to whack the baddies with their handbags. I love when you can have a wrestler lose a match, but still show themselves to be a dominant force. This was just another terrific episode. The size difference alone of the two men is enough to think Bate has no chance, easily two feet shorter than Walter, but he more than held his own for half an hour. Joe Hendry comes down to interrupt. The end of the tag match had the same issue, where it felt like we almost missed the end of the match because of the way it was edited. I actually prefer when a wrestling match looks more gritty, so if these edits are to "fix" the matches, it is a bad choice for me.

Sysum and Rampage were immediately in the position of the company's top god guy and bad guy, which carried into the main event where Rampage managed to steal the win and the WoS title.

It was one hell of a showing!

However, that was undoubtedly due in part to rose-tinted nostalgia. Fast paced action, storylines already starting to fall in place, and the promise of even more to come. Everything was fast paced, and there wasn't a lot of BS during the show.

The two young lads managed to live up to the hype and Pete came out on top. The storytelling is solid, but simple where you can jump in without having to know much backstory. The end of the tag match had the same issue, where it felt like we almost missed the end of the match because of the way it was edited.

Everything just feels high energy and full of promise.

No matter what type of wrestling fan you are, there was something for you in this show. The storytelling is solid, but simple where you can jump in without having to know much backstory. Gabirel Kidd's opportunity is revealed, but it is teased that it might be something awful my money is on Crater. Stu set up a five man elimination match to decide who would face Grado in the main event later that night. Aussie Open managed to secure the titles for their first reign. He played it perfectly snarky.

Everything feels like it has a lot more meaning.
